The Seven Zone is our 100% natural latex foam mattress, and is great solution for an “organic”
Mattress. The solid latex core gives it the most substantial, firm support without being hard. Free from
innersprings, the Seven Zone produces a very quiet, motionless experience because the dense latex
foam absorbs motion.

A new level of conforming comfort and active support

The Riviera mattress begins with a base layer of individually encased interactive
coils for exceptional, independent body support. Made in Germany, these high

carbon steel coils are center glued and nested in a honeycombed pattern.
These interactive coils feature alternating rows of higher and lower coils with
different diameters and gauges. This innovative design creates highly
ergonomic support through increased surface contouring. This reduces
pressure on the body, providing more comfort and promoting correct spinal
alignment for restful, rejuvenating sleep.
The interactive base coil is topped by a two inch layer of the finest pure 100%
natural latex foam to provide all the cushioning you could want without forming
the premature sags and depressions that thicker synthetic padding will. This
latex cushioning provides exceptional resilience and ventilation. Each mattress
is covered in the most comfortable organic stretch cotton lined with wool. We
quilt to 100% pure Merino wool to provide the comfort of thermal insulation
and moisture regulation. You will sleep better in a drier, more breathable
sleeping environment.

Luxurious European support meets classic American feel
Some people prefer a more traditional feel in a mattress. That’s why we created
the New Paris. It still offers all the support of our other mattresses, but its
dominant characteristic is contouring luxury rather than firmness. The secret to
the New Paris’s classic feel is a second layer of micro-coils on top of a
honeycomb base coil. These two-inch tall micro-coils have very small diameters,
so we can pack over 1,500 of them into a single layer. Like the larger precompressed
coils beneath them, the micro-coils are individually encased. The
advantage of the greater number of independent micro-coils is their ability to
respond to the slightest shift in movement. Finished off with a top layer of
natural latex foam cushioning, the mattress adjusts to the body’s contours in a
way that provides a weightless, enveloping feeling of sumptuous comfort.
The luxurious feel is very different from the kind of smothering softness you
might experience with a mattress cushioned with polyfoam or fiber fill. Because
the primary cushioning of the mattress comes from the active coils instead of
filler, it maintains horizontal stability. The New Paris’s high comfort factor
comes from the vertical compression of the springs. Unlike the components of
fiber-fill mattresses, these springs will not sag or lose their shape over time.

We began building solid cherry platform beds for Scott Jordan Furniture in a shop at the Brooklyn Navy Yard after graduating from Pratt’s industrial design program in 1990. Our passion for design and continual improvement led us to research mattress quality. Our search led us to several furniture shows in Europe. We discovered a completely different approach to bedding. Complex slat systems were used rather than box springs, and ergonomically designed foam mattresses were producing the most comfortable bedding we had experienced.
